About Autoctono

Autoctono is a project dedicated to documenting and celebrating Uruguay's biodiversity through high-quality photography.

Each photograph is automatically analyzed by artificial intelligence to identify species, generate informative descriptions, and classify the content. The information includes data about conservation status, habitat, diet, and interesting facts about the photographed species.

How it works

  1. Take a photo of Uruguayan wildlife, flora, or landscape
  2. Upload it to the project's Telegram group
  3. Artificial intelligence automatically analyzes the image
  4. A page is generated with all the relevant information
  5. The photo is published and available to the entire community

Technology

Image analysis uses Anthropic's Claude for species identification and content generation. The platform is built on AWS with a static frontend optimized for speed and SEO.
